The Veteran’s Group, made up of veterans living in Four Seasons and Solera at Kern Canyon Communities, welcomes all branches of service, including the reserves, all eras of service and spouses, as well.  Our group meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 11:30 am at Huckleberry’s Restaurant located at 2673 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93306.  We invite guest speakers from veteran organizations throughout Kern County to speak to our group each year in January, March, May, September, and November.  In October, we hold our annual Potluck BBQ. In December, we work on putting together a simple holiday treat for everyone to enjoy and, if times allows and there is interest, we work on scheduling a couple local excursions to point of interests in Kern County. 

 

It’s fun, informative, and educational to learn about veteran organizations here in Kern County — their mission, how they support local Kern County Veterans and how we can volunteer our time and talents in helping our fellow brothers and sisters in arms.  If you’re a veteran, come check us out.
