Dance Fitness Club

When: Monday, Wednesday, Friday @ 8:00am & Monday, Wednesday @ 5:45pm
Where: Ball Room

If you love to dance and stay active, this is the club for you. Line dancing is a perfect exercise for improving coordination and balance, increasing cardiovascular health and brain memory, and is seen as an effective treatment for Alzheimer’s, dementia and depression. And, if you think you don’t want to line dance because you don’t like country music, think again. We dance to all sorts of music, from the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, etc.

This is a club, though, and not a class. So, you will be expected to try to learn the steps on your own. Beginners are encouraged to attend the evening meetings because the pace is slower and there are more thorough walk-throughs of the dances. Either way, you will love getting exercise and hearing music you haven’t heard in years.

Also on this page are steps sheets for many of the dances that we do on a regular basis. Additionally, you are encouraged to learn new dances and help other club members learn them as well.
